Materials & Finishes

Add tactile luxury and new functionality to your brand experience with unique cover materials, decorative finishing options, and useful accessories.

Decorating Finishes

Crafting a physical manifestation of your brand is about more than selecting a product style and a cover material —it’s about the little details. We offer a wide variety of finishing options to enhance the design of your binder, folder, or packaging. Whether you’re looking to add a pop of sheen to your graphics, create a 3D element, or enhance tactility for print designs, our team is happy to guide you to a finishing option that takes your materials up a notch and delivers the experience you’ve envisioned for your brand.

Printing

Choosing print for your projects means that your product turns into a highly customizable canvas for branding, storytelling, and product messaging. Full color graphics allow you to create exactly the look you want with all the colors you want. You can also use spot colors to perfectly match your brand’s design standards or for a bold color block.

Foil Stamping

Foil stamping offers an elegant way of customizing your packaging or presentation materials, whether on a specialty cover material or a NAKED™ product. The wide range of available foils creates a look and feel as unique as your brand. Foils come in a wide selection of colors, finishes, and effects from traditional metallic, to matte, gloss, and even holographic foils.

Debossing

Debossing is the stamping of a design into the surface of an object, like a folder, binder, or box, so that it is compressed, adding a three-dimensional element to your art. Combined with foil to amplify the visual effect, debossing is an elegant and subtle way to create a luxurious tactile element.

UV Printing

Spot UV ink highlights and accentuates design elements with subtle contrast. Applied after lamination or varnish, a contrasting spot UV picks up the light and gives a tactile feel to your packaging or presentation materials. Using a spot UV gloss combined with matte lamination adds contrasting finishes to your project, with maximum style.

Laminating

Unlike protective liquid finishes such as aqueous coating, varnish or UV, film lamination actually reinforces paper — extending the life and improving the performance of printed pieces. Since it’s a film, it stretches and flexes, something liquid coatings can’t do. Laminations are available in matte soft touch, natural matte, gloss, and specialty texture finishes.

Die-Cutting

Die-cutting is more than a means of creating custom inserts to securely hold your products in place. Die-cut shapes add a three-dimensional element to your product and, depending on placement, allow you a sneak peek of the contents inside. Adding a die-cut window to your binder cover is a smart way of personalizing your presentation – your audience will be able to view part of the cover page. In packaging, die-cutting can be used to display your products inside.
